About Academic Council
The Academic Council is the collective management body of the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music. The Academic Council includes members of the rector's office - vice-rectors and heads of key divisions, deans of faculties, representatives of departments and the primary trade union organization, and professors of the Academy. The Chairman of the Academic Council is the Rector of the Academy. The procedure for forming the Academic Council, as well as the foundations and principles of its activities, are determined by the Charter of the Academy ↗. The Academic Council of the Academy is authorized to make decisions on all issues of the organization and content of the educational, methodological, scientific, publishing, educational, personnel, financial, economic, international activities of the Academy and on other issues aimed at ensuring the activities of the Academy. Meetings are usually held once a month.
