The journal “Problems of Musical Science / Music Scholarship” is a Russian academic publication intended to publish the main results of research by leading scientists and applicants for scientific degrees (doctoral and candidate degrees). Manuscripts undergo “double-blind” review, reviews are stored in the editorial office for 5 years. The editorial policy of the journal is based on the recommendations of international organizations on the ethics of scientific publications: the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the European Association of Science Editors (EASE).
“Research of Young Musicologists” is an annual scientific conference of graduate and undergraduate students dedicated to various issues of musicology. Following the results of the conference, a collection of publications by young researchers is traditionally published.
The journal publishes articles on a wide range of topical problems of modern ethnomusicology, discusses issues of the theory and practice of ethnomusicology, analysis of musical and folklore texts, the geography of traditional musical culture, and the historiography of our science.

The periodical electronic scientific publication “Bulletin of the Gnesins RAM” opened publication in 2006. Over the years, 13 issues have been published. The authors of the articles are well-known musicologists and young graduate students just starting their path in science. The range of research topics is diverse and wide: from the music of the Renaissance to postmodern composers, from folk ritual traditions to ancient Russian church singing genres...
