ABOUT THE CENTERS

In June 2022, three scientific and creative centers were established at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music as part of the implementation of the strategic academic leadership program “Priority-2030”:

  1. Scientific and Creative Center for the Study of Problems in Musical Theater;

  2. Scientific and Creative Center for Contemporary Music;

  3. Center for Modern Technologies in Science, Education, and Pedagogy.

According to the profile of each center's work, their main functions include organizing and conducting creative, scientific, and methodological events (conferences, seminars, round tables, lectures, master classes, concerts, etc.) with the participation of invited leading specialists.

The centers also carry out research activities, organizational and methodological work, participate in musicological forums, interact with the faculties, departments, and other divisions of the Academy, as well as with specialized departments of Russian music universities, humanitarian research institutes, international scientific organizations, centers, and foundations. They disseminate and promote the results of their activities in scientific, creative, and public organizations and universities, including through online informational resources.
