On 13 May the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music was visited by Feng Litao, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Russian Federation and Director of the Chinese Cultural Centre, Liu Yang, Second Secretary of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Russian Federation, Wang Rui, Deputy Director of the Chinese Cultural Centre, Dong Yi of the National Tourism Office and Olga Kuchenkova, Head of the Training Department of the Chinese Cultural Centre.
Together with Alexander Ryzhinsky, Rector of the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, Galina Mayarovskaya, President of the Academy, and Tatiana Tsaregradskaya, Head of the Department of International Relations and Creative Projects, the guests discussed the possibilities of cultural interaction and future joint projects and events. The first of them will be a concert of the folk instruments orchestra of the Chinese city of Wuxi in the Great Hall of the Gnessin Music School on 29 May.
At the end of the meeting, the PRC representatives were given a tour of the Memorial Museum-Apartment of Elena Gnesina. F. Gnesina. Director of the museum Andrey Gaponov told the foreign guests about the life and activities of Elena Fabianovna, the founder of the Gnessin House.
Recall that on 3 January 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an order on holding in 2024-2025 cross cultural years of Russia - China. The document was published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
