Gnesin Russian Academy of Music and the Nahawanda Academy of Arts in Saudi Arabia signed a co-operation agreement

The signing took place in Taif at the opening ceremony of Saudi Arabia's first international music academy, Nahawand Centre.

Abdullah Rashad, General Manager of the Nahawand Centre, said the partnership will help raise the professional level of those working in Saudi Arabia's music sector.

The academy's activities will focus on supporting talent and developing educational programmes. The two sides plan to organise faculty and student exchanges, joint academic, cultural and scientific activities. One of the key tasks is to accredit official certificates for international trainees.

The opening of the academy was part of the Quality of Life programme and one of the initiatives undertaken as part of the Vision 2030 plan for the development of Saudi Arabia.
