Delegation from Thailand’s Rangsit University Visits the Gnesin Academy

On July 30, Alexander Ryzhinskii, Rector of the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music, and Galina Mayarovskaya, President of the Academy, met with students fr om Rangsit University – a leading private university in Thailand. The delegation was led by Choir Director and a full-time faculty member at Rangsit University's Conservatory of Music Dolhathai «Kloy» Intawong.

Dolhathai «Kloy» Intawong is a conductor and educator who holds a doctorate in choral conducting and was recently appointed Associate Conductor of The Washington Chorus. Previously, she served as Artistic Director of the Sine Nomine choir in Denver and taught at Front Range Community College and the University of Northern Colorado. She is also a co-founder of the Choral Directors Association of Thailand, which promotes collaboration, education, and the continued development of choral music throughout Thailand.

Dolhathai «Kloy» Intawong presented Rangsit University and its music programs. Following the meeting with the Gnesin Academy's leadership, the delegation toured the Academy and the Elena Gnesina Museum Apartment, wh ere the guests had the opportunity to play a grand piano from the collection.
