She studied with leading teachers of the Moscow cello school: A. K. Fedorchenko (Gnesin Moscow Special School of Music, Central Music School at the Moscow Conservatory) and Professor, People’s Artist of Russia and Head of the Cello, Double Bass and Harp Department of the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music V. K. Tonkha (Gnesin State Musical and Pedagogical Institute, assistant traineeship at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music).
Already during her student years she began to perform actively in concert.
Immediately after graduating from the higher education institution she was invited to teach in the Cello, Double Bass and Harp Department of the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music. For many years she taught at the Gnesin Music School and has recently begun teaching at the Gnesin Music College.
With solo, chamber, ensemble and symphonic programmes E. Zhulyova has successfully performed in France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Greece, China, Korea and other countries. In Russia she has appeared in the Grand, Small and Rachmaninov Halls of the Moscow Conservatory, in the Hall of the Moscow Philharmonic and in numerous chamber concert venues.
E. Zhulyova is a participant in many international festivals in France, Germany, Spain, Greece, China and Korea and is also an organiser of festivals in Ufa, Tver, Saransk and other Russian cities.
E. Zhulyova has produced numerous editions and transcriptions for various cello ensembles, as well as arrangements for cello and piano. Several CDs and DVDs have been recorded, helping to expand her audience.
As a Professor in the Cello, Double Bass and Harp Department of the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music, E. Zhulyova has trained many laureates and diploma winners of international competitions. Her students successfully work and perform both in Russia and abroad.
In 2020 E. N. Zhulyova received a Letter of Appreciation from the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation.
