Biography

In 1997 she graduated from the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music (class of V. N. Levko), and in 2000 she completed an assistant traineeship in solo academic singing.

Maria Yanенко’s concert and touring activity includes annual solo recitals, participation in class concerts, and tours in Russia and abroad. Her repertoire encompasses works by Russian, foreign, and contemporary composers.

Among the students of M. V. Yanенко are prize‑winners and diploma‑holders of competitions, including:

  • Alyona Rostovskaya, First Prize laureate of the 6th «New Opera World» International Competition for Opera Performers (2017), First Prize laureate of the 10th A. P. Ivanov International Vocalists’ Competition (2017), laureate of the 2nd All‑Russian Festival «Enlightenment. Initiatives. Achievements», and First Prize laureate of the competition «Performers of the 21st Century: Achievements and Enlightenment» (2014);
  • Alexandra Avakivi, Third Prize laureate of the 12th «Musica Classica» International Festival‑Competition (2012);
  • Natalia Georgieva, First Prize laureate of the 7th International Competition for Performing Musicians and Composers «Romanticism: Origins and Horizons» in memory of Elena Fabianovna Gnesina (2015), and Third Prize laureate of the 15th «Music Without Borders» International Festival (2015);
  • Anastasia Erina, First Prize laureate of the 2nd All‑Russian Festival «Enlightenment. Initiatives. Achievements» and of the competition «Performers of the 21st Century: Achievements and Enlightenment» (2014);

M. V. Yanенко is the author of several publications, including:
