Biography

Musicologist and teacher.

In 2011 she graduated from the Krasnoyarsk Ivanov‑Radkevich College of Arts with a degree in Music Theory, and from 2011 to 2016 she studied Musicology at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music. Her diploma thesis was entitled «Eugene Onegin by P. I. Tchaikovsky in the Mirror of Musicological and Directorial Interpretations».

She is currently a postgraduate student at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music in the speciality 17.00.02 «Musical Art», supervised by Professor Irina P. Susidko. Her dissertation topic is «The Musical Theatre of Georges Aperghis: Gesture – Word – Sound».

Tatiana O. Yakovleva is an active researcher who regularly presents papers at conferences and publishes scholarly articles.

She also works as a music journalist, contributing regularly to «Nezavisimaya gazeta», the journal «Muzykalnaya zhizn», and online platforms Belcanto.ru and Colta.ru, and is a member of the team behind the contemporary‑music website Stravinsky.online.

She has taught at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music since September 2016.

Her professional interests include:

  • new music theatre;
  • musical culture of the 20th and 21st centuries;
  • the specifics of contemporary directing in opera;
  • problems of inter‑art synthesis.
