Biography

He was born in the Ramenskoye District of the Moscow Region.

In 2014 he graduated with distinction from Secondary School No. 1 in Novomoskovsk, and in 2017 from the M. I. Glinka Novomoskovsk College of Music (Music Theory Department, with distinction).

From 2015 to 2017 he taught music-theoretical disciplines at the Music School attached to the M. I. Glinka Novomoskovsk College of Music.

In 2020 he graduated with distinction in Musicology from the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music (class of Associate Professor N. I. Enukidze).

He is currently a postgraduate student in the Department of Music History at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music. His Candidate dissertation focuses on operatic parodies in the works of the Austrian dramatist Johann Nestroy.

From 2019 to 2023 he taught music-theoretical disciplines at the Udelnaya Children’s Music School (Udelnaya, Ramenskoye Urban District), heading the Theory Department.

Since 2022 he has worked as an editor at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music publishing house. Since 2023 he has been a lecturer in the Department of Music Arts Management.

He is organiser and jury member of municipal and regional Olympiads in music theory and music history, has contributed to the development of tasks for the ImproClassica music improvisation competition, and serves as Head of the Methodological Department of the international educational initiative «Universal Music Dictation».

His scholarly interests include musical parody, music theatre, medieval musicology, Baroque art, the music of J. S. Bach, musical rhetoric, semantics, and the theory of affects.
