Born in 1992 in the city of Pskov.
From 2009 to 2013 O. V. Vasileva studied at the M. P. Mussorgsky Saint Petersburg Music College in the ringing gusli class of I. N. Yershova, a laureate of all‑Russian competitions and holder of the Russian Ministry of Culture’s honorary badge «For the Humanisation of Saint Petersburg Schools».
In 2018 O. V. Vasileva graduated from the N. A. Rimsky‑Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatoire in the field 53.05.01 «Art of Concert Performance».
She has repeatedly won all‑Russian and international competitions:
- First Prize, 4th Open International Competition named after Vera Gorodovskaya (Moscow, 2010);
- First Prize, 1st All‑Russian Music Competition (Saint Petersburg, 2013);
- Grand Prix, 1st All‑Russian Open Competition for Performers on String Folk Instruments named after A. B. Shalov (Saint Petersburg, 2015);
- Grand Prix, 5th International Folk‑Instrument Performance Competition «Golden Lyre of Polesye» (Gomel, Belarus, 2016).
O. V. Vasileva takes part in the programmes of:
- the Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation;
- the nation‑wide competition «Young Talents of Russia»;
- the «Hope of Russia» programme of the Coordinating Council of Creative Unions of the Academy of Public Relations.
She actively participates in international music festivals in both neighbouring and more distant countries, including Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, France, Germany, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Portugal, Turkey, and South Korea.
Since 2018 she has taught in the Department of National Instruments of the Peoples of Russia, offering ringing gusli performance classes at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music and the Gnesin Music College.
She is a soloist with the creative ensemble of the L. Ryumina Moscow Folklore Cultural Centre, the Russian Popular Music Orchestra «Mastera Rossii».
