Biography

Anna Valeeva was born in Krasnoyarsk.

In 2018 she graduated from the Secondary Special Music School of the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory (class of V. V. Suslov).

In 2023 she graduated from the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music (classes of S. E. Senkov and T. P. Levitina – piano performance, I. V. Silivanova – chamber ensemble, V. A. Vlasov – accompaniment).

A. Valeeva is a laureate of numerous international festivals and competitions in Moscow, St Petersburg, Serbia, Greece, Israel, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Germany, China and Turkey.

Among them:

  • 1st All-Turkish Piano Competition (2019, 1st prize);
  • 2nd International Young Pianists’ Competition named after S. V. Rachmaninoff (2020, 3rd prize and bronze medal);
  • 20th Youth Delphic Games of Russia (2021, bronze medal);
  • 15th Delphic Games of the CIS countries (2021, 2nd prize);
  • 4th International Piano Competition named after V. Krainev (2022, laureate diploma);
  • 6th International Competition-Festival of Chamber Ensemble Performance named after T. A. Gaidamovich (2022, 2nd prize);
  • 4th All-Russian Music Competition (2022, semi-finalist);
  • International Festival «Faces of Contemporary Pianism» (St Petersburg, 2017);
  • Moscow International Festival of Young Soloists (Moscow, 2017);
  • festival «Muzikale Oktober Best» (Netherlands, 2017);
  • «Days of Russia in Serbia» (Belgrade, 2023);
  • 18th Surikov Arts Festival (Krasnoyarsk, 2023);
  • All-Russian Music Festival «My Rachmaninoff» (2023);
  • 1st Moscow International Gnesin Piano Competition (2024, 2nd prize).

From 2014 to 2017 she also took part in a series of international cultural festivals «Flowers of Russia» held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation in Belgrade, Athens, Tel Aviv, Munich, Ljubljana and Maribor. In 2020 she was awarded a scholarship of the President of the Russian Federation.

She has performed at the St Petersburg State Philharmonic, the M. I. Glinka Academic Capella, the Mariinsky Theatre, the Moscow State Philharmonic, the Moscow State Conservatory, the Moscow International House of Music, the GES-2 House of Culture, the S. V. Rachmaninoff Museum-Estate «Ivanovka» and many other venues.

She has collaborated with the following orchestras:

  • Moscow State Symphony Orchestra for Children and Youth;
  • Demonstration Symphony Orchestra of the National Guard of the Russian Federation;
  • Krasnoyarsk Academic Symphony Orchestra;
  • Krasnoyarsk Chamber Orchestra;
  • Rostov Academic Symphony Orchestra;
  • Bryansk Governor’s Symphony Orchestra;
  • Orpheus Chamber Orchestra (Perm);
  • State Symphony Orchestra «Symphonica ARTica».

She has worked with conductors D. Orlov, P. Yurkov, M. Benyumov, F. Mastrangelo, E. Ambartsumyan and others.

At various times she has performed as a member of chamber ensembles. Among her stage partners have been, in particular, laureates of the 17th International Tchaikovsky Competition Anna Komarova (flute) and Lev Zhuravsky (clarinet).
