Biography

Musicologist, teacher.

He graduated from the Specialised Secondary Music School attached to the N. G. Zhilaynov Kazan State Conservatory, the Faculty of Music Theory and Composition of the Kazan Conservatory (class of Prof. A. L. Maklygin), and the postgraduate programme of the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music (supervisor Prof. T. Y. Maslovskaya).

His Candidate dissertation, «Russian Cosmism in Musical Culture at the Turn of the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries», was prepared in the Department of Music History and defended at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music (supervisor Prof. T. Y. Maslovskaya).

He was awarded First Prize in the Fourth All‑Russian Competition for Young Scholars’ Research in the Arts and Culture, organised by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
