Biography

Director and actress.

Born in 1970.

In 1998 she graduated from the M. S. Shchepkin Higher Theatre School at the State Academic Maly Theatre of Russia (specialising in Acting).
Teachers:
Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation, Honoured Art Worker of Russia, Professor N. N. Afonin; Honoured Artist of the Republic of Tajikistan, Professor M. Ye. Velekhova.

Since 1999 she has been an actress and vocal coach at the «Vedogon‑Theatre» in Zelenograd.

Since 1998 N. V. Tabachkova has taught at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music, where she gives the courses «Directing for Folk Choir» and «Special Class».

N. V. Tabachkova serves as director of concert programmes and graduation productions for the full‑time and part‑time choirs of the Department of Choral and Solo Folk Singing at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music.

Her directing work includes graduation productions by student folk‑choir conductors such as:

  • «Holy and Pagan Rus’»;
  • «Pushkin in Song»;
  • «Faces of War»;
  • «The Tale of Avdotya Ryazanochka»;
  • «Winter Fairytale»;
  • «The Seasons»;
  • «Christmas Dreams».

Her productions on the Gnesin Academy stage have consistently received the highest praise from audiences and members of the State Examination Board.
