Evgeny V. Smirnov

After graduating in 2012 from the Simferopol Tchaikovsky Music College (class of N. V. Yatskova), he entered the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine (class of Honoured Artist of Ukraine, Professor N. K. Tolpygo-Rusina). In 2014 he continued his studies at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music in the class of Honoured Worker of Higher Education of Russia, Candidate of Art History, Professor S. E. Senkov; in 2018 he completed his master’s degree, and in 2020 he finished the assistant traineeship at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music.

During his studies he became a laureate of international competitions, including the L. N. Ginzburg Memorial Competition, the A. Karamanov Young Pianists’ Competition, the Slavic Music Festival-Competition and others.

He took part in the 10th International Scholarly Conference «Research by Young Musicologists» (supervisor – Candidate of Art History, Professor V. V. Aleyev).

Since 2016 he has held the position of Leading Specialist in the Educational and Methodological Office of the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music.

Since 2020 he has taught in the Department of Piano Performance under V. P. Ovchinnikov.
