Andrey Yu. Rudometkin

Andrey Rudometkin was born in 1977 in Moscow.

From 1992 to 1997 he studied at the Academic Music College at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory. In 2001 he graduated from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, and in 2003 completed postgraduate studies there in the bassoon class.

In 1995 he became a laureate of the Youth International Competition in Kharkiv, and in the same year joined the Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra.

Since 1997 he has been a soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra of Russia. Since 2008 he has been the Artistic Director of the project «Bassoon+», and since 2013 the leader of the Woodwind Quintet of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia.

He served on the jury of the International Competition «Northern Rhapsody» in 2018 and 2019.

He received a letter of appreciation from the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation on 28 August 2019 for his significant contribution to the development of culture and many years of fruitful work.
