Biography

In 1986, she graduated fr om the Theory Department of the Krasnodar N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov Music College (studying under Z. M. Krivtsova and E. B. Bogdanova). In 1991, she graduated with honors from the Gnesin State Musical Pedagogical Institute, wh ere she studied under F. G. Arzamanov, B. S. Ionin, L. V. Popelya, R. K. Shirinyan, S. E. Senkov (piano), and others. Her major studies were conducted under the guidance of Professor Natalia Sergeyevna Gulyanitskaya, Doctor of Art History.

In 1994, she completed her postgraduate studies at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music (RAM). She defended her PhD thesis titled «The Poetics of Nikolai Korndorf’s Style» (supervised by Professor N. S. Gulyanitskaya) at the Dissertation Council of the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music in 2004.

She has been teaching at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music since 1994, initially at the Department of Foreign Languages (Language Communication), and subsequently at the Department of Harmony and Solfeggio (Music Theory). From 2010 to 2014, she served as Vice-Rector for Research and Creative Work at the State Specialized Institute of Arts (renamed the Russian State Specialized Academy of Arts in 2013).

During her tenure, the institution established postgraduate programs in several scientific specialties, as well as assistantship-internships in music, theater, and fine arts. In addition to teaching theoretical disciplines across various faculties at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music, Yu. N. Panteleeva supervises undergraduate final qualifying papers, as well as master’s and PhD theses. She participates in national and international scientific conferences and forums (Gnesin Russian Academy of Music, State Institute for Art Studies, Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, etc.) and performs extensive expert work, including internal and external peer reviewing and serving as an official opponent. She is a member of the Scientific and Editorial-Publishing Councils of the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music and serves as the head of the Scientific and Creative Center for Contemporary Music. 

Awards:

  • Certificate of Honor from the President of the Russian Federation and a commemorative medal «For Selfless Contribution to the Organization of the All-Russian Mutual Aid Campaign #WeAreTogether» (2020);
  • Letter of Gratitude from the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation (2020);
  • Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation (2026).
