Biography

Olga Vyacheslavovna Nesterova was born in 1976.

She graduated from the Central Music School of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, studying piano with Professor A. G. Sevidov.

In 2001 she completed her studies at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music, again in the piano class of Professor A. G. Sevidov and in the accompaniment class of Professor T. V. Kandinskaya.

Since 2002 Olga Vyacheslavovna has worked as an accompanist at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music, during which time she has collaborated with the classes of Professors M. S. Agin, N. A. Dmitrieva, E. V. Starodubrovskaya, V. R. Khudoley, and V. V. Gromova.

She currently works in Solo Academic Singing Departments Nos. 1 and 2, in the classes of A. A. Naumenko, A. V. Mochalov, and M. V. Yanенко.

In 2002, at the request of FSUP «Salyut», she composed the Hymn for the plant’s 90th anniversary, which was performed by People’s Artist of Russia Eduard Labkovsky with choir and orchestra of the Federal Fire Service.

Olga Vyacheslavovna has appeared in many joint concerts with People’s Artists of the USSR Vladimir Troshin and Zurab Sotkilava, as well as with leading contemporary opera stars, Honoured Artists of Russia Ildar Abdrazakov and Aida Garifullina.

Her awards include:

  • First‑degree diploma and laureate title at the International Competition «The International Competition of Young Performers XXI Century Art» in the Accompaniment category (Kyiv, Ukraine, 2003);
  • a diploma from the Russian Guild of Accompanists for participation in the «Art of the 21st Century» International Competition in Vorzel, Ukraine (2005);
  • laureate of the International Festival‑Competition of Vocal and Instrumental Art «Stars of Big Cities» in the Accompanist category (2013);
  • «Best Accompanist» diploma at the «Festos» Festival‑Competition (2013);
  • «Best Accompanist» diploma at the 2nd All‑Russian Festival of Research Creativity and Enlightenment for Children and Youth «Enlightenment, Initiatives, Achievements» (2014).

In addition, she has received letters of appreciation for her participation in and preparation of various educational musical projects from the M. I. Glinka All‑Russian Museum Association of Musical Culture, the International Union of Musical Figures «Shalyapin Centre», and the head of the Bogorodskoe municipal district in Moscow.

From 2013 to 2015 Olga Vyacheslavovna was an invited accompanist at the B. A. Pokrovsky Chamber Music Theatre.

Since 2015 she has worked on the television projects «Sinyaya ptitsa» on Russia‑1 and «Bolshaya opera» on the Kultura channel.

O. V. Nesterova plays an active role in training laureates of vocal competitions and in auditions for the Bolshoi Theatre’s Young Artists’ Opera Program (students I. Kutyukhin, A. Shaytanova, A. Avakyan, R. Kalinina), the «Bolshaya opera» TV project (Ilya Kutyukhin), the «Belvedere» Vocal Competition (I. Kutyukhin, I. Maltseva, A. Shaytanova, N. Chasovitina), the «Festos» competition (B. Zhukov), and the «Musica Classica» International Festival‑Competition (S. Yudichev).

She is also a regular participant in entrance examinations, state final exams, and vocal masterclasses at the Vocal Faculty of the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music.
