Biography

In 2013 she graduated from the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music in the Piano Performance Department (class of Associate Professor A. V. Starodubrovsky, Professor M. V. Kravets and Professor G. A. Fedorenko) and went on to complete the assistant traineeship in the Department of Collaborative Piano under Professor M. V. Kravets.

In 2020 she completed postgraduate studies at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music in the Department of Pedagogy and Methodology (academic supervisor – Professor O. L. Berak, PhD in Pedagogy).

She is a laureate of international competitions and has received commendations from the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs «Rosmolodezh», the State Institutions «Rospatriotcentr» and «Roskultcentr», the Centre for the Development of Cultural Initiatives, the Elena Obraztsova Foundation for the Support of Musical Art, the Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation, the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts and other organisations.

From 2009 to 2014 she worked as an accompanist in vocal and conducting classes at the Popov Academy of Choral Art.

In 2014 she was appointed accompanist in the Young Artists Opera Program of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia (artistic director – Honoured Artist of Russia Dmitry Yu. Vdovin). During her work in the programme she prepared operatic roles with soloists for Bolshoi productions, gained extensive stage experience at the Bolshoi Theatre, studied foreign languages and vocal diction, and participated in masterclasses given by leading opera singers, vocal teachers and coaches from Russia, the USA and Europe.

She began her artistic activity at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music in 2016 as accompanist in the vocal class of People’s Artist of the Armenian SSR, Honoured Artist of Russia, Professor R. P. Lisitsian.

E. P. Malashenko has taught in the Department of Collaborative Piano at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music since 2019.

She maintains an active concert career as ensemble player and accompanist, performing in Russia and abroad.

As an expert she has taken part in the All-Russian Youth Educational Forum «Tavrida», has been a pianist for the VGTRK «Kultura» television project «Bolshaya Opera», and has participated in international cultural and educational projects of Rosconcert.

She takes part annually in the Vocal Department of the International Music Academy of the Winter International Arts Festival in Sochi (artistic director – Yuri A. Bashmet), as well as in cultural and educational projects of the Elena Obraztsova Foundation. She is involved in the production process of opera performances at the Moscow Concert Hall «Zaryadye».

Over the years her students have repeatedly become laureates of international and All-Russian competitions.

E. P. Malashenko combines her concert and teaching activity with research. Her interests focus on the vocal phonetics of foreign languages. Each year she gives lectures on the course «Specifics of Working on French Vocal Repertoire» at professional development programmes of the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music and presents papers at international and All-Russian conferences.
