M. V. Kravets graduated from the Gnesin State Musical and Pedagogical Institute in 1982, majoring in Piano (class of Professor A. A. Alexandrov). In 1995, she completed her postgraduate assistantship (assistentura-stazhirovka) at the same institution, specializing in Accompaniment (class of Associate Professor S. F. Margaritov).
Since 1982, she has served as a concertmaster for the Solo Singing Department, working in the classes of V. V. Gromova, L. K. Yaroslavtseva, S. M. Khromchenko, V. L. Chaplin, Z. A. Dolukhanova, and N. Yu. Yureneva.

M. V. Kravets maintains an active concert career in Russia and abroad, with tours in France, China, South Korea, and Spain. She is a member of the International Union of Musical Figures and the Irina Arkhipova Foundation. She regularly performs in a series of concerts featuring laureates of the Glinka International Competitions (Smolensk, St. Petersburg).
As an accompanist, she has performed with People’s Artist of the USSR and Bolshoi Theatre soloist V. Piavko, People’s Artist of Russia L. Magomedova, La Scala soloist Mauro Augustini, and People’s Artists of Russia and Bolshoi Theatre soloists A. Naumenko, E. Zelenskaya, and I. Dolzhenko.
She is the author and performer of concert programs within the framework of the «Gnesin Public Philharmonic» project, organized by the Department of Accompaniment:
- «Portrait of a Composer» (Massenet, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff);
- «Opera Synopsis» (Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci, Mascagni’s Cavalleria rusticana, Rachmaninoff’s Francesca da Rimini);
- «Faces of the Baroque» (Bach, Handel, Gluck);
- «N. Medtner: Songs to the poems of J. W. von Goethe»;
- «Melodies of the Heart» («Spanish Rhapsody»);
- «In the Mirror of Poetry» («Romantic Ballad in Chamber-Vocal Music»).
Since 2004, she has been a jury member of the International Vocalists Competition «Art and Education of the XXI Century» (nomination «Art of Accompaniment») within the framework of the International Forum «Musical Performance and Pedagogy» (Italy, Portugal, Austria, Finland).
Since 1997, she has been a faculty member of the Accompaniment Department. Students and graduates of M. V. Kravets’ class successfully work in music educational institutions, concert organizations, and theaters across Russia. P. Nebolsin, E. Malashenko, and A. Anasenko completed internships at the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia’s Young Artists Opera Program.
Students of her class actively participate in departmental concert projects, festivals, and competitions. A. Anasenko, V. Valova, A. Kozlova, R. Vakhitova, and Yu. Bezlepkina are laureates of international competitions in the «Art of Accompaniment» category.
M. V. Kravets was sent by the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music to the CBS Media Conservatory (Seoul, South Korea) as a visiting professor (2005, 2006).
M. V. Kravets is the author of a series of lectures and concert programs (in collaboration with Professor of the Solo Singing Department E. V. Starodubrovskaya) titled «Modern Methods of Teaching the Art of Accompaniment» for professional development courses under the state program «Development of Culture.»
M. V. Kravets is the author of the «Priority 2030» lecture and masterclass course «Methodological Aspects of the Accompanist Profession.»
M. V. Kravets collaborates with the «Yuri Bashmet — to Young Talents» Foundation, conducting masterclasses in educational institutions across Russia (Yaroslavl, Vologda, Pushkino, Khimki).
