Stanislav V. Korchagin

Stanislav Korchagin was born in 1993 in the Moscow Region. Since 2011 he has studied under Professor T. Zelikman at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music. He graduated from the F. Chopin Moscow State College of Musical Performance, then from the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music and completed the assistant traineeship (2022).

Stanislav is a laureate of many international competitions. In December 2022 he won second prize at the 4th All-Russian Piano Competition. In February 2023 he was awarded second prize and the Audience Prize at the International Scriabin Piano Competition in Grosseto (Italy), and in June of the same year he became a third-prize laureate and bronze medal winner at the 17th International Tchaikovsky Competition.

He has taken part in the festival «Faces of Contemporary Pianism» in St Petersburg, where he performed Rachmaninoff’s «Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini» with the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra (2016). In 2020 he appeared in a series of Kawai concerts in Germany (Düsseldorf, Krefeld, Lindenberg). In 2023 he performed at the Chopin Society Festival in Darmstadt (Germany).

At present Stanislav successfully combines his concert career with teaching at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music.
