Education:
1974 – Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (piano, class of Professor T. D. Gutman). 2003 – Institute of Innovative Programmes (management in the cultural sphere).
Teaching activity:
For many years she taught piano performance at music colleges and institutes in Moscow, and also taught in Iraq, Mongolia and Syria under the auspices of the USSR Ministry of Culture.
Her many years of teaching experience and pedagogical achievements are reflected in the professional success of her students, 20 of whom have become prize‑winners at prestigious Russian and international competitions. Over the years she has trained more than 100 students and graduates who now work successfully in conservatories and colleges in Moscow, St Petersburg, Petrozavodsk, Nizhny Novgorod and other cities, as well as in the CIS countries and further abroad.
Concert activity:
As a soloist and accompanist she has toured throughout Russia and abroad, including the Netherlands, Serbia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Syria, Lithuania, Latvia, Mongolia, Tunisia, the USA, Hungary, Ecuador, Croatia, Slovenia and other countries.
Artistic and creative activity:
She receives annual invitations from the «Russian Musical Tradition» society in the Netherlands; collaborates with music festivals in Budva, Cetinje and Bar in Montenegro, as well as jazz festivals in Austria, Latvia and Lithuania, where she gives lectures, concerts and masterclasses. She is invited to serve on juries and speak at conferences in St Petersburg, Petrozavodsk, Sochi, Vladivostok and other cities.
Research activity:
In 1998 she defended a dissertation on the topic «Formation and Stimulation of Creative Artistic‑Imagery Thinking». She continues to be actively engaged in methodological and scholarly work.
In recent years she has written and published a number of teaching manuals, curricula and research articles, including:
- «Organising Problem‑Based Learning as a Path to Developing Creative Musical Thinking»;
- «Interdisciplinary Links and Their Significance for Stimulating the Cognitive Processes of Music Students»;
- «The Role of Interdisciplinary Links in the Professional Training of Music Students»;
- «Developing Creative Musical Thinking as a Path to Independent Student Work»;
- «Once Again on Musical Intonation», among others.
Administrative activity:
1989–1994 – Deputy Director of the Gnessin Music College.
Since 1994 – Director of the Gnessin State Musical College of Pop and Jazz Arts.
2007–2018 – Dean of the Faculty of «Musical Art of Pop» at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music.
Awards:
- 1995 – Honoured Cultural Worker of the Russian Federation;
- 1998 – Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences;
- 2000 – Badge of Honour of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation «For Services to Culture»;
- 2002 – Academic title of Associate Professor;
- 2006 – Honorary title «Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation»;
- 2010 – Academic title of Professor.
She has been awarded diplomas, medals, certificates and letters of appreciation from Russia and other countries, including Syria, Tunisia, Mongolia, Hungary, Slovenia, Montenegro, Serbia, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Latvia, Ecuador and others.
In 2020 she received a Letter of Gratitude from the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation.
