Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Honorary Worker of Arts of Moscow, Chief Choirmaster of the Moscow Music Theatre «Helikon-Opera» under the direction of Dmitry Bertman, Chief Conductor of the Kaliningrad Regional Musical Theatre.
He graduated from the Magnitogorsk Music College with a degree in Choral Conducting (class of M. M. Nikitina), the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music with a degree in Choral Conducting (class of Professor S. D. Gusev), and the Ippolitov-Ivanov State Musical Pedagogical Institute with a degree in Opera and Symphony Conducting (class of Professor V. A. Ponkin).
1998-2000: Conductor of the Moscow Regional Choir under the direction of A. D. Kozhevnikov.
1999-2002: Director and Conductor of the «Voskhozhdeniye» (Ascent) Choir at the Council of Veterans of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
2000-2002: Choirmaster of the Yurlov State Academic Choir of Russia.
Since 2002: Choirmaster of the Moscow Music Theatre «Helikon-Opera».
2009-2014: Director and Conductor of the «Pierrot Ensemble». The ensemble performed 20th-century chamber music, including Arnold Schoenberg’s Pierrot Lunaire and Paul Hindemith’s Das Marienleben.
In 2015, he completed an internship with the Orpheus Radio Symphony Orchestra.
Since 2012, he has served as the Chief Choirmaster of the «Helikon-Opera» theatre under the direction of Dmitry Bertman.
Since 2017, he has been the Chief Conductor of the Kaliningrad Regional Musical Theatre. In 2018, Tchaikovsky’s opera Iolanta (directed by Ilya Ilyin, conducted by Evgeny Ilyin) was awarded a diploma at the «Seeing Music» (Videt Muzyku) theatre festival.
Since 2024, the theatre, in collaboration with the «Russian Ballet» company under V. M. Gordeev, has produced a series of ballet performances, including Adolphe Adam’s Giselle and Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker.
Since 2025, he has been a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Choral Conducting of the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music.
