Evgeniy V. Guryev

He received his musical education at the Kharkiv Secondary Special Music School (class of N. A. Kulak). In 2003 he graduated from the Gnesin State Music College (class of Honoured Cultural Worker of Russia, Professor V. A. Dokshitzer). He is a graduate of the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music (class of Honoured Artist of Russia, Professor V. M. Prokopov, 2008).

Since 2002 he has been a soloist of the Orchestra of the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre of Russia. He is the leader of the Brass Quintet of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia.

Since 2009 he has taught at the Brass and Percussion Department of the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music.

He has repeatedly been a laureate:

• laureate of the International Trumpet Festival‑Competition named after T. A. Dokshitzer (2000);
• laureate of the International Competition for Wind Instrument Performers named after N. A. Rimsky‑Korsakov (2005);
• laureate of the International Competition for Brass Instrument Performers named after T. A. Dokshitzer (2009).

He gives solo concerts and masterclasses in Russian cities and abroad:

• solo concert at the State College of Wind Art (Moscow, 27 September 2017);
• solo concert with the Symphony Orchestra of the Belgorod State Philharmonic (1 October 2017);
• ensemble concert with the T. A. Dokshitzer New Life Brass (6 November 2017);
• concert and masterclass at the Secondary Special Music School of the St Petersburg State Rimsky‑Korsakov Conservatory (St Petersburg, 24–25 November 2017).
