Biography

Performer and teacher.

He was born in 1962.

In 1981 he graduated from the Almetyevsk Music College named after F. Z. Yarullin (class of Honoured Cultural Worker of the Tatarstan Republic V. I. Tsvetkov), in 1993 from the St Petersburg Rimsky‑Korsakov State Conservatory (class of Professor, Honoured Artist of Russia A. I. Kuznetsov) and in 1998 completed an assistant traineeship at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music (under Professor, Honoured Art Worker of Russia B. M. Egоров).

He is a laureate of all‑Russian and international competitions.

Career:

  • since 1981 teacher at the Children’s Music School in Zainsk, Tatar ASSR;
  • since 1993 teacher at Children’s Music School No. 3 and the Music College in Ulyanovsk;
  • since 1995 artist of the Ulyanovsk Regional Philharmonic;
  • since 2003 Senior Lecturer, since 2006 Associate Professor at the Department of Folk Instruments, Faculty of Culture and Arts, Ulyanovsk State University;
  • since 2008 Associate Professor at the Department of Orchestral Folk Instruments, Gnesin Russian Academy of Music Khanty‑Mansiysk Branch;
  • since 2010 Deputy Director for Research and Teaching, since 2011 Director of the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music Khanty‑Mansiysk Branch;
  • since 2016 Associate Professor, since 2017 Professor at the Bayan and Accordion Department of the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music.

Among his students are laureates and diploma‑winners of international competitions.

He has given concerts and masterclasses in many Russian cities.

He serves on the juries of regional, all‑Russian and international competitions.

Author of teaching and methodological materials, scholarly articles and collections of transcriptions of concert pieces for domra and bayan:
