Biography

He graduated from the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in 2012 and completed postgraduate studies at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music in 2015.

His Candidate dissertation, «Mass Song in Russian Culture of the First Half of the Twentieth Century» (supervisor: Doctor of Art Studies, Professor T. I. Naumenko), was defended in 2016.

Awards and recognition:

  • Laureate of the All‑Russian film‑music festival‑competition «KINOREX‑2021».
  • Recipient of a Presidential Grant of the Russian Federation (project MK‑505.2018.6, «One Hundred Years of Russian Mass Song: History and Modernity»).
  • Grantee of the Russian Foundation for the Humanities (RFH), project no. 15‑54‑00013 «Russian Mass Culture of the Mid‑Twentieth Century».
  • Holds letters of appreciation from the Committee for Supporting the Reforms of the President of the Russian Federation (2015), the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Buryatia (2023), the Minister of Culture and Archives of the Komi Republic (2025), and the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Smolensk Region (2025).

Membership in public organisations:

  • Member of the Russian Authors’ Society since 2009.
  • Member of the Youth Section of the Union of Composers of Russia since 2012.

Ya. V. Gloushakov is the author of music for film, television, and advertising.

He organises and participates in socially significant projects dedicated to anniversaries of the Great Victory and to the restoration of the finest song heritage of Soviet composers. He teaches theoretical disciplines in various faculties of the Academy.
