Biography

In 2005 he graduated from the Gnesin Music College (Music Theory Department), in 2010 from the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music with a degree in Musicology, and in 2013 from its postgraduate programme.

Since 2009 he has worked in the Elena F. Gnesina Memorial Museum‑Apartment at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music, and since 2017 he has served as Director of the Museum. He organises and hosts the annual «Gnesin Readings» conference and other Museum events, and since 2018 has organised the annual creative‑writing competition «My Teacher, a Gnesin‑Trained Musician».

He has taught at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music since 2014 and, since 2016, in the Department of Music History.

He is a regular participant in and presenter of educational literary‑musical programmes at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music; of the «Prechistenka Fridays in Memory of Prof. V. D. Nyrkova» series at the Central House of Scholars; and of concert‑lecture cycles within the International Arts Forum «Romanticism: Origins and Horizons» at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music.

Professional achievements:

  • 2010 – Second Prize, Twentieth All‑Russian / International Competition for Student Research in Music;
  • 2012 – Second Prize, Regional (Open) Sergei Prokofiev Competition in Composition and Improvisation, in the «Journalism» category;
  • 2018 – First Prize, Tenth International Competition for Performers and Composers «Romanticism: Origins and Horizons», in the «Art of Accompaniment» category;
  • 2018 – Second Prize, Eighth International Amateur Piano Competition «Piano Bridges», St. Petersburg;
  • 2018 – First Prize, Fourth International Music Competition in Cyprus, in the «Piano Solo» category;
  • 2019 – First Prize, Fourth Alemdar Karamanov International Music Competition, in the «Ensemble Performance» category.
