Aleksey V. Furukin

Biography

In 2006 he graduated from the State College of Wind Art in Moscow (class of V. A. Tarasov).

In 2011 he graduated from the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music (class of Honoured Art Worker of Russia, Doctor of Science, Professor L. D. Belenov), and in 2016 completed postgraduate studies.

From 2008 to 2018 he was a soloist of the State Academic Symphony Capella of Russia under V. Polyansky.

From 2011 to 2013 he was a soloist of the State Symphony Orchestra «Novaya Rossiya» under Yu. Bashmet.

Since 2018 he has taught at the Gnesin State Music College, and since 2022 he has been a Senior Lecturer at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music.

He maintains an active concert career, performing as a soloist with various ensembles throughout Russia.

He is engaged in research, takes part in academic conferences, publishes collections of arrangements and writes articles:

  • Music album «The Enchanting Sounds of the Horn in Classical Masterpieces», arrangements for horn by L. D. Belenov, compiled by A. V. Furukin, Moscow, Nauchtechlitizdat, 2018, 58 pp.;
