Biography

He graduated from the Central Music School at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory in 1990 (teachers: A. D. Artobolevskaya, Professor A. A. Mndoyants, Professor A. A. Nasedkin), from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory in 1995 (teachers: Professor T. P. Nikolaeva, Professor A. A. Nasedkin), and from the assistant traineeship at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory (teacher: Professor M. S. Voskresensky).

Prizewinner of international competitions:

  • the J. S. Bach Competition in Leipzig (1992);
  • the F. Schubert Competition in Dortmund (1993);
  • the F. Mendelssohn Competition in Hamburg (1994);
  • Grand Prix at the F. Schubert Competition in Vienna (1995);
  • the E. Honens Competition in Calgary (1996);
  • the S. Seiler Competition in Kitzingen (2001);
  • winner of the «April Spring» International Festival in Pyongyang (2004).

Soloist of the Moscow State Academic Philharmonic, professor of the Magnitogorsk State Conservatory, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Vice President of the A. D. Artobolevskaya Music Foundation, member of the presidium of the Moscow Schubert Society, holder of the title STEINWAY Artist.
