Biography

Alimov Yevgeny Anatolyevich is a trumpeter from Moscow and a laureate of all‑Russian and international competitions.

  • In 1998 he graduated from the Beethoven Music School in the trumpet class (class of Professor V. A. Dokshitzer);
  • from 1998 to 2002 he studied at the Gnesin State Music College (class of Professor V. A. Dokshitzer);
  • from 2002 to 2007 he studied at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music (class of Professor V. M. Prokopov);
  • in 2007 he completed postgraduate studies at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music.

Since 2003 he has been a trumpet soloist with the State Academic Symphony Capella of Russia under V. K. Polyansky.

Teaching activities:

  • in 2008 he taught trumpet at the Moscow City Children’s Music School named after V. M. Blazhevich;
  • in 2009 he was a member of the Organising Committee of the First International Competition named after T. A. Dokshitzer;
  • from 2012 to 2013 he taught trumpet at the Children’s Music School named after T. A. Dokshitzer;
  • since 2013 he has taught trumpet at the State College of Wind Art (Jazz Academy);
  • since 2022 he has taught trumpet at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music and at the Gnesin State Music College;
  • in 2016 he co‑founded the brass ensemble Boom Brass Band.

Awards and honours:

  • in 2015 he received a letter of appreciation from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation for his significant contribution to the development of culture and many years of fruitful work (signed by V. R. Medinsky);
  • in 2020 he was awarded First Prize at the Third All‑Russian Music Competition as a member of the Moscow Symphony Brass Quintet (Artistic Director F. A. Shagov);
  • in 2020 he received a certificate of honour from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation for his significant contribution to the development of culture and many years of fruitful work (signed by O. B. Lyubimova).

He gives concerts and masterclasses in Russian cities and abroad and serves on the juries of competitions for wind instrument performers.
