Admission
Yes. Training of foreign citizens is carried out on the basis of:

1. budgetary grants (quota of the Government of the Russian Federation);
2. budgetary grants (if you have the status of a compatriot);
3. paid contract.
Foreign citizens can study at the federal budget expense in two cases:

1) if they are compatriots living abroad;
2) within the framework of the quota for the education of foreign citizens established by the Government of the Russian Federation (to learn more contact the representative offices of Rossotrudnichestvo).

Compatriots are persons who were born in a country, or who lived in it and have signs of a common language, history, cultural heritage, traditions and customs, as well as descendants of these persons in a straight descending line.

You need to attach the birth certificates of your parents (parent), thereby proving that they were born in the territory of the former USSR or the RSFSR and your birth certificate (with a notarized translation). Documents must be sent to the Admissions Office: priem@gnesin-academy.ru
Yes. All entrance tests are held in Russian. All educational programs imply studying in Russian language. If your Russian language proficiency is insufficient, you will need to take preparatory courses.

If a foreign citizen cannot enter the territory of the Russian Federation due to closed borders, then applicants will be given the opportunity to pass online entrance examinations. Admission requirements as well as examination procedures can be found here (russian).
Yes, the Academy has a dormitory with a limited number of places. Read more about the dormitory and check in procedure here.

Places in the dormitory are limited and provided for the entire period of study for students studying on a budgetary basis. If you study on a paid basis, the accommodation in a dormitory is possible, but not guaranteed.

Bachelor programmes (BA)

applications are accepted from 20 June to 07 July 17.00 (Moscow time)
entrance exams are held: July 8 - July 25
rating lists are published: July 27.

Master programmes (MA)

applications are accepted from 1 July to 20 July 17.00 (Moscow time)
entrance exams are held: July 21 - July 29
rating lists are published: August 03.

Specialist degree 5-year programmes

applications are accepted from 20 June to 07 July 17.00 (Moscow time)
entrance exams are held: July 8 - July 25
rating lists are published: July 27.

Assistantship programmes

applications are accepted from 20 June to 07 July 17.00 (Moscow time)
entrance exams are held: July 8 - July 27

PhD studies

applications are accepted from being updated
entrance exams are held: being updated
rating lists are published: being updated

Documents can be submitted only online through the applicant's personal account. Read the rules for online submission of documents (russian).

The list of required documents for admission can be found on the page of the level of education you are interested in.
If you have not previously pursued a full-time educational program at the Academy, then such a letter from the Academy is not provided.

If you have previously studied at the Academy full-time or you are studying at the moment, such a letter can be provided by consent of the deans of faculties, heads of departments.

A letter of admission to the Academy is not required when applying for training under the quota of the Government of the Russian Federation.
